holes: on being an emerging writer at 50

A few lessons (that I mostly remember each day):

- i most love the things that are well worn
- i love the process of change and decay (cue: acceptance of my own change and decay)
- i am attracted to bones i find in the bush, dried fish scales on rocks, dessicated house flies, old nests, dead bugs, snake skin

My life is filled with holes. I am emptying of fullness. What I have given and what was taken.
What I released and what was claimed from me. The traces and tracks, the meanderings, the gaps, the holes, the marks. I know nothing, again.

Being emerging does not only apply to the young. Life and writing are not linear processes.
